Cain and Abel Genesis 4
Cain and Abel were children of Adam and Eve. Once sin entered into the world, people were affected by it. People were now sinners and sinning against others. Everyone was affected in a bad way. Sin makes everything ugly.
Cain was the first baby born. He was a gift from God to Adam and Eve. Another son God gave to Adam and Eve was named Abel. Both Cain and Abel brought sacrifices to God. Cain brought fruit. Abel brought the firstborn of his flock. God was pleased and accepted Abel's offering. He was not pleased with Cain's offering though. Cain became jealous and then angry. His anger led him to murder his brother. God cursed Cain by making him unable to grow crops. He also became a vagabond and wanderer.
Sin always has its consequences, either now or in eternity. Our hope is always in the Cross of Christ for our sin.
