The Queen of Sheba visits Solomon - 1 Kings 10
Solomon's reputation for being a just king became known all around the world, at that time. Someone from a far away place paid him a visit. She was the head of state and made this trip because of her curiosity about his kingdom. This lady was the renowned Queen of Sheba and she came to Solomon to test him with hard questions. She came with a large entourage and she brought gold and spices for gifts to give to Solomon.
She was even surprised by Solomon's answers to her questions. All her expectations were surpassed. This is what she said in response to Solomon being able to answer all her questions; "How happy your men must be! How happy your officials, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom! Praise be to the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on the throne of Israel!'
This took place around 930 B.C.
